Wasting away again and germophobia

According to the school scale on which I weighed myself about 20 minutes ago, the total weightloss due to ulcer/gastritis/general icky stomach stuff is 148-136.5= 11.5 lbs. People who know me will say NO WAY because there's no possible way that I could be 11 pounds lighter than I was a month ago and still exist. But, it's true. My jeans that I almost threw away because I couldn't even squish myself into them laying down with my hips in the air (now THERE'S a picture), I slid on smooth as can be this morning and they're LOOSE. It's fabulous. If I can drop about 6 more pounds and maintain myself at 130, I'll be a happy girl.

That so won't happen.

Also, Jodi mentioned this on her blog but I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about it as well. I'm a germophobe. So is Marcy, another girl from our class. She and I regailed Jodi with our twin tales of handwashing and face covering, sleeves on doorhandles, glove wearing escapades. The funny thing is we both work with kids, and we both have the same stomach situation.

I hate germs. I can expound on it at great length, but I do have to go eat some bread crumbs for lunch, so you'll have to wait for the next installment.

eeew, nance! I do want to know what you learned. No, wait. I don't.

I'm like this too, to an extent. I pull my sleeves over my hands so I don't have to touch shopping carts at the grocery store. Diane Keaton always wears gloves, right? I wonder if she's a germaphobe too. . .

So I see all these little kids the other day practicing their hand-washing (some group came in to show them how and to make it fun). As I walked by the room it looked like a convention of OCD short people doing the secret "handshake" with themselves. It was really funny looking.

I've been trying to be a little less compulsive about hand washing but I'm pretty picky about it at meal time.
