I know that when I'm so irritated I can't even speak and all I want to do is cry but I'm too mad to do even that and I want to drink a beer at 2pm and my fuse is so short with even my friends that no one can do anything right that it is official:
School has begun.

Maybe a career change? You're too young to go through the rest of your life so negative and pessimistic with your job.
There's got to be something you can do that will leave you with a smile on your face as the default expression instead of the rare exception. In every job you will have those "golden moments" that make you happy and content, but I couldn't be happy knowing that 95% of my time is spent just waiting for that 5%.
Sorry, Kelly! :(
Maybe start a countdown to the next long holiday break?
Well Wig, I certainly won't be teaching for the rest of my life. At least I hope not.
And you know where I'm at right now. Workshop week and the first weeks of school are the absolute hardest and most draining...it's that "an object at rest tends to stay at rest" concept.
Besides...it isn't the teaching I'm irritated about, the kids aren't even here yet ;)
What's your job situation at the moment? Did you find a school smart enough to take you on?
Yes, Myf, Greg and I are going to Milwaukee for a concert on Sept. 25, so I'll have two days off (a four day weekend!) then and I can't wait!!! :)
