*shudder*

My poor, poor Packers. Was Eli Manning even born when Favre began to play pro ball? Nah, not bitter. They won fair and square. Though I hate that kicker.

We'll get 'em next year. With Brett.

I was so very surprised by the outcome of the game. To be honest, I only watched overtime because I don't like the Packers (But I did watch the AFC game). I had totally thought they would cream the Giants, and I mean, the kicker can't make a 26-yarder but he can make 47? He was very lucky. As much as I dislike Brett during season (as I have to, being a Vikings fan), I was sad to see him lose.

There are a lot of very stunned people walking around today (and a lot of very happy Vikings fans!); I think most everyone thought the Pack would win it. The kicker missed before the 26 yarder to send them into overtime...but the Pack also had four penalties during one drive just prior to that. Mistakes were made on both sides and ultimately Favre handed them the game (literally), so we Pack people can't complain too much. It does insure Favre will be back, though, and I'm not sure he would have returned if he'd gone to the Superbowl.

I think that the biggest reason I have sympathy for Favre is because his interception led to the loss. I can't see him leaving football just yet after that. And I too believe he'd have retired if they went to the Superbowl.
