A day without sunshine, or a hundred

We're entering day 14 of the Gloom Day Marathon. Rumor has it, according to Belle, that the sun came out briefly on the 12th day, but I sure didn't see it. Otherwise it has been sunless here in Minnesota since Christmas Eve.

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't getting to me. I can tell I'm a little more sensitive, a little lonlier, a little needier. I've overslept two days in a row now in spite of the four alarms (yes, I set four alarms) I give myself in the morning. I haven't missed work yet, I've been awake by 6:30, but considering I need to be at work by 7 and it's 15 minutes away, well, I need more than 15 minutes for my beauty routine.

And, of course, I've been incredibly lax about keeping the blog updated. Oh well, soon summer will come and I'll be writing every day!

Kelly, I hear what you're saying about the weather. I went to Washington for 10 days over break and it rained every single day. Then I come back here and its all gloomy. I can tell its starting to affect my mood as well. Just this morning as I was tying my necktie, the end of it somehow got knotted around a ceiling pipe and I accidentally slipped off the stool. Luckily the clip unfastened and I survived, however.

We had so much sunshine (for the first time in a long time) I was a VERY VERY happy camper today :)
