"You guys always"

I've decided that I hate these words.

"You guys always let him do whatever he wants."
"You guys always let him walk all over me."
"You guys always defend him."
"You guys all think I'm crazy."

I think one of the hardest parts about being a teacher is having to represent all other teachers not only in the grade level or school, but that every student has ever had. We are a shapeless blob, called "Authority," without lives, personalities, or feelings.

For any high school age people out there: your teachers have feelings. And when they say "all students" or "all of you," that's not right either.
