New writing classes and a book plan for the year

Okay, Jodi got me all psyched to get back into Rob's class, which starts this week. I'm also taking a reading class that uses Margaret Atwood in writing. That one starts this Wednesday, and the one acts are over, and I am one happy sunshine.

I also asked Jodi to spill the beans on her reading plan for 2006. She actually develops a plan every year. Nuts. But, of course, I'm a big copycat.

My reading plan for this year is to read 100 books. I know, that's like, two a week. But I think if I do one a week during the school year I can triple up during the summer. And, if I have to turn the tv off and spend hours at the pool reading, well, I can handle that.

I need to come up with a list of 80 books and put them in order and start plugging through them. I'll leave 20 blank spots for new books that I hear about or pique my interest during the year.

So, my first book completed (and I don't need anyone mentioning that we're already four weeks into the year and so technically I'm seven books behind, thank you muchly) was The Colorado Kid by Stephen King. Kick ass book.
